Cairngorm Whiteout News

As part of our efforts to support the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team, last year we collaborated with them to produce ‘Cairngorm Whiteout’, a gin that would specifically benefit the team.

 £5 from every bottle of ‘Cairngorm Whiteout’ that we sell goes directly to help support the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and the important work that they do. Thanks to you all, we’ve sold over 360 bottles so far this year raising a total of £1795, which we have proudly donated to the team!

CMRT provide assistance to injured or lost persons in the mountains. The vast area that they cover includes the Northern Cairngorms, Ben Alder and areas of Monadhliath Mountains to the East Side of Loch Ness.

The team is made up entirely of volunteers who give their time freely to help those in need of aid in the mountains. They are based at St Columbas Rescue base, Inverdurie, Aviemore. It is here that they coordinate their rescues which are predominantly in the Northern Cairngorms.

‘Cairngorm Whiteout’ is a Juniper led gin with citrus and floral notes on the nose. The ideal gin for a long G&T. Best served over ice with a quality tonic and a twist of grapefruit peel.
