Kinrara Distillery Triumphs at World Gin Awards 2025 with ‘Caper’ Gin
Kinrara Distillery, nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is celebrating a remarkable achievement at the World Gin Awards 2025. Their Artist Edition gin ‘Caper’ – a tribute to the iconic Capercaillie bird – has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Best Signature Botanical Gin in the World’. Kinrara’s success continued with five additional distinctions, among them Gold for the ‘Ginny’ Artist Edition, Silver for ‘Oak Spice’ Distiller Edition, and a Gold for design and packaging.
Award-Winning Craftsmanship
‘Caper’ is the latest addition to Kinrara’s renowned Artist Edition Collection, which showcases the distillery’s commitment to blending traditional Scottish botanics with contemporary flair. Crafted in small batches, ‘Caper’ features a distinctive blend of peppercorn and ginger that leads to a highly captivating on-the-nose experience, with a warming, smooth finish. The gin’s unique character is matched by an eye-catching bottle, a striking creation by Scottish artist Kat Baxter that ensures it won’t go unnoticed.
This recent accolade adds to Kinrara Distillery’s growing list of recognitions. In 2021 and 2022, their ‘Highland Dry Gin’ was named ‘Best Scottish Contemporary Gin’ at the World Gin Awards. In 2023, they won numerous awards at the Scottish Gin Awards and expanded their collection by securing a ‘Great Taste Award’ for their ‘Highland Dry Gin’. At the 2024 World Gin Awards, ‘Caper’ claimed the title of ‘Scotland’s Best Botanical Gin’, while their signature ‘Highland Dry Gin’ took home Silver. Furthermore, Kinrara has also had three gins featured in the ‘Top 10 Gins’ by the Scottish Gin Field Challenge.
